Party member sets good example in fight with epidemic
Li Lintao has been extremely busy since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus epidemic.
Li Lintao, director of the acquired immune deficiency syndrome control and prevention department of the Luohu district center for disease control and prevention, has been extremely busy since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus epidemic.
He leads a team in charge of handling those suspected of having been infected with the virus, and their close contacts. He is also responsible for coordinating the efforts of relevant different departments to arrange quarantining of suspected cases and the person's close contacts.
Sometimes, Li has to forego visits to the toilet, just 15 meters away from his office, throughout the entire morning.
Li is quite patient in persuading the suspected infected persons, who initially refuse to go to the quarantine sites, to cooperate with the public health department's instructions.
Li used to taking part in an anti-epidemic battle, having been involved with the outbreak of the severe respiratory acute syndrome in 2003, as well as the disaster relief and rescue work in the landslide in Zhouqu county of Gansu province.
Li Lintao takes samples from a close contact.
In November last year, Li volunteered to go to work in Zhaojue county of the Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture of Sichuan province, taking part in local AIDS control and prevention. He explains that, as a member of the Communist Party of China, he is thus obliged to work in the place where he is needed.
