New TCM institute founded in Luohu
The opening ceremony for the Jinhe Traditional Chinese Medicine Institute was held at a new venture incubator in Luohu on Nov. 5.
Zheng Zhong, deputy head of the united front department of the Luohu district committee of the Communist Party of China, Shi Xingzhong, chief of the Luohu science and technology innovation bureau, Li Juan, deputy chief of the bureau, Wu Hongyan, deputy director of the Luohu Hospital Group, and Zhang Yujie, deputy chief of the Luohu talent work bureau attended the ceremony.
The main founder of the institute is Wu Jin, a veteran TCM doctor, and the Luohu government hopes that the institute can cooperate with enterprises, hospitals and universities. Through this it hopes that the Jinhe Traditional Chinese Medicine Institute will develop into a top institute in its field in China by 2030, so as to enhance Shenzhen's importance on the TCM map of China.
According to Shi, Luohu has not only explored medical care reform to make it more convenient and cheaper for people to see a doctor, but has also been active in promoting research and innovation as well as boosting the development of the health industry in the district.
