Luohu initiates 18 projects to boost urban renovation and development
On the morning of September 26, the Luohu district government held a ceremony to mark the collective start of 18 large-scale projects in the third quarter.
The projects entail a total investment of 35.3 billion yuan, among which 3.8 billion yuan is planned to be invested this year, and involve the fields of urban renewal, education, water processing, environmental protection, grassroots governance, industrial development, and people's livelihoods.
He Haitao, deputy chairman of Shenzhen People's Congress Standing Committee, Luo Yude, Party chief of Luohu, Liu Zhiyong, acting head of the Luohu government, and other senior officials of the Luohu authorities, including Zhou Yichuan, Song Yan, and Li Xiaoning took part in the ceremony with entrepreneurs of some relevant companies.
The initiation ceremony was held at the site of the Hubei area urban renovation project, which is one of the largest projects of its kind in Shenzhen with a total investment of 20.8 billion yuan and covering an area of 88,000 square meters. It will turn a shanty town area into a city complex.
Among the 18 projects that started in the third quarter, 14 are about infrastructure construction. These projects show Luohu's commitment to improving its working and living environment, level of public services, and residents' livelihoods.
Luo Yude said it is hoped that the projects can help improve the contents and look of urban zones, providing a strong driving force for Luohu's rejuvenation and development and enhancing the government's performance in providing education, medical care, housing, and other public services for people in need.
