Luohu urged to heed new blueprint for Shenzhen
The Communist Party of China's Luohu committee held a conference on July 31 to study CPC Party chief Xi Jinping's recent important speech on deepening reforms and discuss how the district should implement his key messages.
He Haitao, secretary of the CPC Luohu committee, presided over the conference.
The meeting pointed out that the Central Committee of Deepening Overall Reform passed a document for Shenzhen to be constructed into a pilot model zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics. This showed the CPC Central Committee's resolve and ambition to continue to develop the special economic zone in the new era.
The meeting urged all Party and government departments of Luohu to recognize the great importance of the document. In addition, they were encouraged to carefully learn and actively act according to the spirit of Xi's speech, which should be included in an on-going education-themed campaign of the Party.
The meeting suggested that the document draws a beautiful blueprint for Shenzhen's future and should be regarded as the master plan for the city’s future reform and opening-up. It also mentioned that the document provides Luohu with big opportunities to accelerate its development of and integration into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
During the meeting, officials also listened to a report on the district's economic development in the first half of 2019.
